About
QV 5 is located on the south side of the main Wadi, a few meters from the edge of the paved path. The tomb comprises of a shallow shaft (A) and is partially filled with debris. The owner of the tomb is unknown.
Elizabeth Thomas recorded that QV 3, QV 5, and QV 6 were all interconnected, though no evidence of this can be seen today. She also noted ceiling rock fall in QV 5 and the absence of any objects.

The tomb was constructed in the 18th Dynasty.

As of November 2009, the Supreme Council of Antiquities installed a masonry surround with metal grill over the tomb's entrance.
Site Condition
According to the GCI-SCA, the marl rock of the tomb shaft is friable, with loose rock perched precariously near the entrance. Presumably flood and natural debris fill have resulted in partial burial of the tomb.
