QV 2 is a shallow pit lying to the south of the main visitor path and close to QV 3, QV 4, and QV 7. It was reburied by the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) and is no longer visible.

The tomb was also filled in at the time of Elizabeth Thomas' inspection and was last cleared by the Franco-Egyptian Mission in 1987.

Noteworthy features:

QV 2 is a shallow pit that has been reburied by the SCA.

In 2009, the SCA reburied the tomb.

Site Condition

According to the GCI-SCA, flood debris and erosion had gradually reburied the tomb by the time of their assessment in 2007.

The Valley of the Queens and the Western Wadis are made up of numerous valleys spread out over a vast space of desert, each containing tombs for the New Kingdom queens and other royal family members. The poor quality rock has led to damage in several tombs after suffering from earthquakes and floods.
