Sons of Horus

Deity
14144.jpg

The four sons of Horus were four deities: Duamutef, Qebehsenuef, Imsety, and Hapy. They were responsible for protecting the organs of the deceased contained inside Canopic jars. The stoppers of the canopic jars were in the shape of the head of the deity associated with the vessel's contents.
