Khonsu
An anthropomorphic form of the moon god. Khonsu was represented as a mummiform human figure (occasionally hawk-headed) holding a scepter and flail and wearing a sidelock of youth with a headdress consisting of a horizontal crescent moon surmounted by a full moon. He played an important role as a healing deity. As the son of Amen and Mut, he had a temple dedicated to himĀ at Karnak.
