Isis is the sister and wife of Osiris, mother of Horus, daughter of Geb and Nut, mother of the king, and an important goddess in magic and medicine. In the New Kingdom, she was closely connected with Hathor and is sometimes shown wearing a solar disk between cow horns. Many temples were dedicated to her, including those at Philae and Dandarah in Upper Egypt, Bahbit al Hijarah in the Delta, and Memphis.
